The latest popular standout: the super-modern NOMAD Micro Home, which costs a cool $38,800.
What Does It Look Like?
This “micro home” is a 13-1/2-ft. cube, with a main living area, full bathroom and lofted sleep space. The overall design is incredibly modern, with lots of clean lines and simple fixtures.

It features several large windows that let in plenty of natural light, and there’s a surprising amount of storage in the kitchen and loft. The 182-sq.-ft. home is manufactured in Canada using 3D printing technology, and it can be shipped anywhere in the world.
Do You Have to Put It Together?
“The NOMAD Cube is a DIY kit that can be assembled within days by persons with handyman-level skills,” explains the seller. “Leaving the assembly labor to the purchaser provides for a lower price.”
It’s worth noting that the kit doesn’t include interior drywall or wall paneling, so you’ll need to purchase those separately. There are also add-ons available, including water management systems and solar power hookups, as well as connecting units that allow merger of two or more of the micro homes.
Other Tiny Homes to Buy
Assembly of most tiny home kits will take at least a few days. But you can also find tiny house builders, such as Tiny Heirloom, that will deliver a fully-constructed house right to your door — or, rather, the place where you’d like your new tiny home’s door to be.
